Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Weario keeps your wardrobe on your device. Your clothes photos, outfits, care labels and wear history are stored only in the app's local database — we never upload them to a server or share them with anyone. The only exceptions are the third-party services listed below (advertising and weather), which the free app needs to run.
What stays on your device
- Photos of your clothes that you take or select
- Care-label photos and the symbols detected from them
- Outfit compositions and your wear history
- An optional photo of your body or head used as your model
- App preferences (theme, language, filters, body figure)
- Cached daily temperatures for the calendar
All of this lives in the app's local storage. Uninstalling Weario deletes it permanently.
Advertising
Weario is free and supported by ads shown through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process a limited set of data such as your device's advertising identifier, approximate (non-precise) location and app-interaction data, in line with Google's Privacy Policy. Depending on your region you may be asked to consent to personalized ads, and you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. You can remove all ads with a one-time in-app purchase (see below).
Purchases
The optional "Remove ads" purchase is handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the transaction; Weario only learns whether the purchase is owned. We never see or store your payment details.
Permissions we use
- Camera — to take clothes photos and scan care labels
- Photo library — to pick existing photos (optional)
- Location (coarse) — only to look up your local temperature for the calendar; you can deny it and still use the app
- Network — to fetch weather and to serve ads
Third-party services
- Google AdMob (advertising) — see Google's Privacy Policy for the data it processes
- Google Play Billing — in-app purchases
- Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — free weather API. We send only an approximate latitude/longitude (rounded to about 11 km) and date ranges; no account, no identifiers
Optional cloud backup
If you enable your device's built-in backup (e.g. Android Auto Backup) or use the in-app manual export, your wardrobe database is copied to your own cloud account or a file you control. Weario has no servers and never receives this data.
Children
Weario is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Because your wardrobe data lives on your device, you control it entirely — delete any item, outfit or record at any time, and uninstalling the app erases the local database. For the limited ad data processed by Google, see Google's Privacy Policy for your choices.
Changes
We may update this policy in future app versions. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
